Mood swings, irregular periods, skin break outs, pain, fluid retention, weight gain, lethargic, bloated…🙅🙅🏼🙅🏾 just a few symptoms that bring many women to seek a naturopath!
You are so not alone! Hormones are sensitive and can hit us hard sometimes. And sometimes, all the time.
There is so much you can do to improve your symptoms. You don’t need to put up with this, and mask it with painkillers and artificial hormones.
Nutrition, lifestyle and herbal medicine can make a life changing difference to balance hormones.
I speak from personal experience.
After the birth of my second child, each month I would be in such immense pain that I would have to load up on some serious painkillers just so I can make my daughter’s assembly or show up at work! Great-a naturopath high on drugs! It was that or missing out on special events for my girls and not being able to work.
My dad being an anesthetist, I grew up with ‘the easy option’ to take a pill and it all went away…for now. I did not want to live like that. It wasn’t addressing the cause and the side effects of constipation, light headedness and sometimes itchy skin, was not something I was readily willing to accept. Especially if I have’t tried another way first. I am not completely anti-drugs, that is NOT what this post is about. I believe we are blessed to live in a country where we have access to both health systems, and can marry the two together, when (and if) is needed.
I decided I needed some help-from a naturopath! And wow, has it changed my life. I was already eating well, and exercised but adding a few extra nutrients and herbal medicine really was the icing on the cake. My pain varnished! My bloating reduced, skin improved and I was less dragon-like wife around that T-O-M than before 👾
This was 4 years ago and I still vouch by it. If I skip a few months I pay for it and my symptoms return. I secretly hoped (like everyone does) that I would ‘outgrow’ it, but I am more than grateful that I am now able to manage it-the natural way, without any side effects! So far, so good.
If you are currently suffering from any hormonal imbalances, have a chat to a naturopath and see how they can help you.
