Here is a bit of a ‘did you know?’
Did you know that lentils are so rich in PREBIOTICS that they create a food for your ‘good’ gut bacteria or microbiome. This in turn can help create substance called propionate, which helps prevent rapid stomach emptying and has a blood sugar lowering effect.
And if you or the kids don’t like lentils by themselves, they are so very easily hidden in bolognese, patties, lasagne, mash…no one would ever know!
